MAC addresses
2. Policy
MAC addresses are only assigned in blocks
Every block is a 16bit address space (164 = 216 = 16bit) containing 65’536 addresses
All blocks are assigned sequentially and in the order of their request
All assignments are universally administered (UAA) MAC addresses for unicast (I)
