Bareos Job Management [service configuration]

Who?

All BFH users are involved in teaching, research and development (TRD), so they/you can request bareos backup services for TRD usage.

What?

Two kinds of jobs:

  • Backup
  • Restore

These are the default configurations jobs from the bareos service, the client part will be autogenerated by by running the client B-BMR-Prepare.sh script If you didn’t run it, it’s maybe time (to create your own client configuration files)…

How?

With defaults and templates (or a script):

Properties of a default backup job:

Run Backup job

Jobname:   backup-$FQDN

FileSet:   [OS-Dirves] (e. g. LinuxAll, Windows All Drives or SelfTest)
Pool:      Full (autoconfig default => same as Backup Level [Full])
Storage:   File (default)
When:      2017-06-20 11:22:26
Priority:  10
OK to run? (yes/mod/no)

All usable options are listed on the bareos restore job section, but the default kind of job you can see below….

The Script is included in the Bareos Bare Metal Restore ISO File (B-BMR.iso)
